A native of the Gulf, he won the 2015 Marco International Conducting Competition, laying the groundwork for an international career, and has been Music Director of the Bochum Symphony Orchestra since 2021. A student of piano and cello since childhood, he studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Franz Liszt School of Music Weimar, where he was awarded the Edwin B. Garrigues Fellowship from the Curtis Institute of Music. He was awarded the Audience Prize at the Scholti Conducting Competition and the Mahler Conducting Competition. He has been a guest conductor with the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, SWR Symphony Orchestra, North German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Hannover, Tonkünstler Orchestra, DR Radio Symphony Orchestra, Helsinki Philharmonic, Oslo Philharmonic, BBC Symphony Orchestra, etc. In the 2023/2012 season, he will be a guest conductor with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, Antwerp Symphony, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Lucerne Symphony, and the BBC Symphony. In the 2023/24 season, he will perform with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra.
