Conductor Kazuyoshi Akiyama, who was scheduled to perform at the New Year’s Concert 2026 on January 10, 2026, passed away on January 26 due to pneumonia.

As a result, Laureate Conductor Hubert Soudant will perform in his place. Accordingly, there will be partial changes to the program.
