As part of the “Tokyo Symphony Orchestra Asia Project”, which began in 2023 with support from the Japan Arts Council, members of the affiliated Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra will visit Japan. A Friendship Concert featuring a joint orchestra with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra will be held at Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall, the home venue of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. Seiko Niizuma, who performed and was acclaimed in the Bangkok concert in May, and Honorary Guest Conductor Naoto Otomo will appear.
The Asia Project is a new approach, different from previous overseas performances by Japanese orchestras, aimed at establishing new bases in Asia and expanding our perspective from Japan to the entire Asian region, developing multifaceted activities. For details, please see the special website.
