The dense, highly structured music spun from mature tact resonated with a profound resonance, making for an outstanding performance.

’’Dvořák’s symphonies are characterized by a solid rhythmic backbone, and the contrasts in character between each theme are precisely delineated. Dvořák’s careful attention to the dynamics of the music is evident in the unexpected and eloquent expressions that emerge from unexpected voices, even in familiar scenes. The subtlety of the phrasing and agogic, which maximizes the effect with a minimum of gestures, is very much appreciated at the scene transition points in each movement and in the expression of the songs that are explored at the most crucial points (the concluding theme of the first movement is one example).
